On December 16, 2024, the collection of applications for participation in the special nomination of the International Organization of Northern Regions "Northern Forum" during the XXIII International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire" began.

The special nomination of the Northern Forum presents an award in the form of souvenirs - a special prize "For the preservation of the traditions and heritage of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic and the North", as well as a cash prize of 100 thousand rubles.

Authors of debut and full-length feature and documentary film projects, representatives of film crews from northern regions and regions participating in the Northern Forum are invited to participate in the competition for a special nomination.

Applications for participation in the special nomination are accepted at the following address: . In the subject line of the letter, please indicate: "For participation in the special nomination of the Northern Forum". In the application, please indicate the participant's last name, first name, patronymic (if any), the title of the competition work and a link to the film. Applications will be accepted until January 19, 2024.

Considering the chairmanship of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra in the International Organization of Northern Regions "Northern Forum", a decision was made to establish a special nomination. The events of the XXIII International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire" will be held from March 5 to 9, 2025.
