The Administration of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug invites you to take part in the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Arctic Telemedicine”

which will be held on November 26, 2020 as an online event

Background

Telemedicine is based on the use of digital technologies for providing medical care at a distance and for remote doctor-doctor or doctor-patient communications. The capabilities of telemedicine are well known and have been developing for a long time. Telemedicine, regardless of the territory of use, makes it possible to expand the list of available healthcare services for the population in remote regions, including the Arctic, to provide remote consultations in non-urgent situations, to conduct online case-conferences and much more. In Russia the introduction of telemedicine is one of the priorities of the National Healthcare Project.

During the global pandemic of infection caused by the SARS-CoV-19 virus, everyone felt the need for medical assistance using remote technologies. The infection spread became a challenge for health systems around the world. The pandemic forced to look at telemedicine from a new perspective and to promote its development around the world. Digital solutions capable to alleviate the increased workload on doctors are relevant as never before.
