Today, on 4 February, Vladimir Vasilev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, met with Ilya Umansky, President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, and Vadim Mamontov, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry and General Director of RussiaDiscovery.
The meeting was held on the initiative of Tatyana Menshikova, Chair of the Northern Forum's Working Group on Tourism
They had a productive conversation and outlined promising areas of co-operation between the parties, which will be included in a co-operation agreement.
"Russian Union of Travel Industry unites 4000 tour companies of the country, but there is also a demand for the development of domestic tourism, organisation of active communication with international associations, and here the Northern Forum can provide certain assistance. The main thing is that today the countdown of joint work for achieving practical results has started. Tatyana Menshikova is the head of the Tourism Commission of the Russian State Council, which makes it possible to create a fruitful alliance of government, business and international NGOs in this area," said Vladimir Vasilev.
