On March 5-6, 2024, Moscow will host the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Far East and Arctic: Sustainable Development”, the main organizer of which is our long-time partner the Interregional Scientific, Technological, Business and Educational Partnership “Sustainable Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation”.

 

This year, the Northern Forum is co-organizing the round table "International Cooperation: Opportunities and Prospects", which will be moderated by Nikolay Korchunov, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Senior Arctic Official of the Russian Federation.

− Protection of national interests in the Arctic and development of international dialogue;
− Main results and conclusions of Russia’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021 – 2023;
− Scenarios of Western countries and scenarios of Russia on the future architecture of international cooperation in the Arctic and the Far East: is consensus possible?;
− State, regional and expert levels of cooperation;
− Consolidation of federal, regional authorities, non-profit and international organizations in order to develop a unified Russian position on cooperation in the Arctic and the Far East;

Northern Youth Forum

The Northern Youth Forum (NYF) is a youth wing of the Northern Forum, consisting of representatives of young people from the age of 16 to 40 years.

Mission of the NYF is to strengthen the spirit of trust and cooperation between young representatives of Northern regions and countries at the stage of personal and professional views’ formation.

Goal of the NYF is to promote the interests and views of young people in solving the problems facing the Northern Forum by using the potential of international youth cooperation.
