As a result of the disaster of two tankers in the Black Sea, there is an emergency situation in the sea and on the coast.

Tens of thousands of volunteers and hundreds of pieces of equipment are working to clean up fuel oil spills, but the scale is unbelievable. The sea is covered with fuel oil stains and it is still soaking into the sand, causing huge damage to the natural ecosystems of the sea and land, as well as to the tourism industry.

We call on all those who are interested to assist in the elimination of the consequences of the man-made disaster. We appeal to the developers and producers of new technologies for fuel oil utilisation.

The Northern Forum has never stood aside in difficult situations, our history is rich in examples of providing effective assistance in emergencies. We hope that this time the Northern Forum regions, RACAR members and the Northern Forum Youth will help as much as possible.
