The new project "Humanor" which begins the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland is also devoted to study of interaction of humans and animals in a changing climate, influenced by social and environmental factors on the preservation of the traditional economy. An international team of researchers conducted a qualitative analysis of the socio-ecological systems in different geographical regions of the Arctic, assessed the risk for the preservation and development of modern reindeer herding.
