Our Goodwill Ambassador Amarjargal Baljinnyam reports from Mongolia: A delegation from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra worked in Ulaanbaatar.

- Karina Borova, Consultant of the International Cooperation Division of the External Relations Directorate of the Department of Youth Policy, Civil Initiatives and External Relations of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra;
- Yulia Chertykovtseva, board member of the Public Organisation ‘Surgut City Foundation for the Development of Literature “Slovessnost”.
- Ksenia Ilauski, President of the non-profit Foundation for Support and Development of Folk Arts and Crafts, art historian, member of the Union of Designers of Russia, member of the Youth Alliance of Folk Arts and Crafts under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
From 4-6 December 2024 the delegation from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra held a number of events in the Russian House in Ulaanbaatar, where were invited representatives of public organisations, university representatives, teachers, film producers, as well as all those who are interested in getting to know and cooperate with this district, and representatives of the mass media of Mongolia.
A number of interesting projects from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra were presented, such as:
- Presentation of international humanitarian, cultural and educational projects of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.
- International festival of cinematographic debuts ‘Spirit of Fire’
- Russian Language Week in foreign countries
- Educational potential of the Autonomous Okrug
- Calendar of international sports events of the Autonomous Okrug
- Presentation of an exhibition of folk art, collections of clothing items in the style of the indigenous peoples of the North.
- Master class on painting.
And also demonstration lessons were held for Mongolian children and schoolchildren.
- Lesson ‘Animals in Russian fairy tales’ and
- The lesson ‘Plastics of the Human Body (based on children's folklore)’ within the framework of the project ‘Russian Language Week in Foreign Countries’.
During the discussion of the projects, the Northern Forum Goodwill Ambassador in Mongolia, Amarjargal Baljinnyam, briefly presented the work of the newly established Association of Northern Forum Schools, about the volunteer Russian language teachers of Berdigestyakh school in Gorny Ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Tatiana Sidorova and Sakhalyan Sivtseva, who worked for 2 weeks in schools #1 and #2 of Kharkhorin Somon of Uvurkhangai aimag of Mongolia, as well as about the arrival and acquaintance with Mongolia of Olga Kozlova, director of the school-gymnasium of Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.
Amarjargal Baljinnyam also spoke briefly about further plans of the Network of Schools, expressed her opinions about joint activities to attract volunteer teachers of Russian language to Mongolian schools, about professional development of teachers - Mongolians of Russian language, about summer camps, about exchange of students and teachers, about assistance in providing textbooks and teaching aids for schools in Mongolia, etc. Also a proposal was made to the film festival ‘Spirit of Fire’, where one branch of presentation of an interesting film project (any) can be a ‘triangle’ Yugra - Mongolia - Yakutia, which was listened to with interest by all participants of this meeting.
Oleg Meling expressed his gratitude to Amarzhargal for participation in this meeting with the delegation from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, as well as for active work at the Northern Forum. He also sent a big greeting to the Northern Forum Executive Director Vladimir Vasiliev and the NF Schools Association.
The meeting with the delegation was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. All the projects were interesting and all the information given to us was useful.
