Last week, Daryana Maximova, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, an international non-governmental organization of the northern regions visited the Center for Arctic Tourism in Naryan-Mar. The goal of the organization is to contribute to the sustainable development of the northern regions and the Arctic zone. The chairman of the Northern Forum at the moment is Alexander Tsybulsky, Governor of Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Daryana Maximova paid a working visit to the Center. During the meeting, the development of tourism was discussed, as one of the activities of the Northern Forum. Interregional tours, united by one theme (for example, cold), event calendar of the northern regions, gastronomic tourism - there are many ideas for the development of cooperation and exchange of experience between the regions - members of the Northern Forum.
As part of the activities of the Northern Forum for the development of tourism, on November 28, 2019, the Forum secretariat organized a videoconference on the “Prospects for the Development of Arctic Tourism” with the member regions of the Northern Forum, in which the Center for Arctic Tourism also took part.
