The 5th Northern Sustainable Development Forum is postponed to 2024.
On behalf of the Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), we inform you that in accordance with the decision of its organizers, the Northern Sustainable Development Forum, previously scheduled for November 7-10, 2023 in Yakutsk, was postponed to the second half of the year 2024.
The Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) confirms the priority of the Arctic in implementing the strategy for the socio-economic development of the region. The Arctic remains a territory of peace, stability and mutually beneficial cooperation to ensure its sustainable and safe development.
The Northern Sustainable Development Forum has been held since 2019. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular international platforms in Russia and the global Arctic. In 2021-2022, it was included in the Calendar of Russia’s Chairmanship in the Arctic Council. We are confident that the forced postponement of the Forum to 2024 will not affect its high relevance as an expert and practical platform for addressing the global issues of the Arctic and northern regions’ development. The organizers of the Northern Sustainable Development Forum will discuss its current agenda at other upcoming events at the Russian and international platforms.
Dear participants, see you next year at the 5th Northern Sustainable Development Forum in Yakutsk!
