Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic and the Agency for Human Capital Development in the Russian Far East and the Arctic invite young people to join the team that is involved in the development of the Arctic. If you want to get a job or take an internship at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic or the Agency for Human Capital Development, you are welcome to take part in the open competition “Arctic Team” from June 1-21.

The requirements of the competition are: young people from 18 to 35 years old can participate. The contest is held in two categories: for young people living in the Arctic zone of Russia, as well as for those living in non-Arctic regions of Russia.

“For the first time, the Agency is initiating such open call. Our task is to find talented and motivated young people who can become part of the Arctic development team and take positions or take internships at the Agency, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, development institutes or companies working in the Arctic zone. Key principles of the competition: openness and accessibility. We look forward to the active participation of students and young employees of Arctic universities, as well as those for whom the development of the Arctic is part of their life and professional goals,” said Sergey Khovrat, AHCD Director General.

To participate in the competition, you need to register and submit an application on the Agency’s website www.hcfe.ru in the “Arctic Team” section. Contestants are invited to prepare an essay on the topic “The Arctic is for me, and I am for the Arctic”, in which it is necessary to disclose how they could be useful for the development of the Arctic, and create a video business card in a free format.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until June 21, 2020. 

On June 25, 2020, the selection committee at the Agency for Human Capital Development in the Russian Far East and the Arctic will publicly summarize the results of the competition and announce the winners.

The Northern Youth Forum (NYF) is a youth wing of the Northern Forum, consisting of representatives of young people from the age of 16 to 40 years.

Mission of the NYF is to strengthen the spirit of trust and cooperation between young representatives of Northern regions and countries at the stage of personal and professional views’ formation.

Goal of the NYF is to promote the interests and views of young people in solving the problems facing the Northern Forum by using the potential of international youth cooperation.
