Students of the A. Osipov Berdigestyakh school of Gorny Ulus, Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Amina Tyrylgina and Yaroslav Antonov on the TV program Saҥa Kүn (New Day) talked about their participation in the Youth Eco-Forum 2019 (YEF), which was held in Akureyri (Iceland) from October 7 to 10.
Amina and Yaroslav told about their experience of participating in the forum, topics of the presented reports, and shared their impressions of Iceland and future plans.
Youth Eco-Forum is a project of the Northern Forum, held annually in one of the member regions of the Northern Forum. The purpose of the forum is to support the initiatives of young residents of the Northern regions, raising awareness among young people about the importance of the environmental problems of the North and finding ways to solve them. The theme of the YEF-2019 was “Voices of the Northern Regions’ Youth for the Protection of the Arctic Water Resources”.
