Iceland is preparing the new attraction for tourists – the longest ice tunnel in Europe.
The 400-meter drive should be finished in several weeks.
The tunnel is shaped like a ring and allows to enter one of the Laungyekudl glacier ridges at the height more than 1200 and to leave on the other side. The cave will be decorated by large-scale ice sculptures with internal illumination. The Icelandic craftsmen also plan to build a small chapel for people to pray or carry out a wedding ceremony.
The cost of implementation of this tourist attraction has already exceeded $2.3m, but investors beleieve that the expenses will soon pay off.
