The protocol of intentions between the Northern Forum and Torum Maa open-air ethnographic museum, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, was signed on the margins of the international research conference “Siberian Ugric People in a Necklace of Subarctic Cultures: Common and Unique” held in Khanty-Mansiysk on October 30-31.
Cooperation in the area of the indigenous cultural heritage of the Northern regions is a key factor driving interregional and international collaboration on culture and arts among Northern regions.
By signing this protocol, the parties intend to facilitate opportunities for research, revitalization, and promotion of indigenous cultural heritage, and to encourage the research activities in this field.
Furthermore, it was agreed to establish the Association of Northern museums of indigenous cultural heritage.
