On November 19-21, 2018, a State Budgetary Institution of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) “Scientific-Practical Center “Phthisiology” and an “Association of Sakha Republic Phthisiatrics”, with the support of the Ministry of Healthcare of Sakha Republic (Yakutia), International Organization “Northern Forum” and North-Eastern Federal University, are organizing the Inter-regional Research-to-Practice Conference “Preventing the Spread of Tuberculosis Infection in the Circumpolar Regions of Russia. Current problems in co-infection (HIV / TB / Hepatitis)".
The following events are planned: November 19, 2018 - A round table dedicated to the memory of Professor M.A. Tyrylgin, who made a significant contribution to the development of health-care and science institutions of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), "Organization of preventive, affordable and specialized medical care for the Arctic and the Northern regions people"; November 20, 2018 - scientific and practical conference; November 21, 2018 - lectures for practicing doctors.
Four main themes guide the flow and organization of the Conference:
- • Features of organization of anti-tuberculosis work in the Northern and Arctic territories;
- • Socio-legal issues of interaction between medical and public organizations on the problem of tuberculosis control;
- • Diagnosis and chemotherapy of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis;
- • New research technologies of the causative agent of tuberculosis and its drug resistance.
More than 150 doctors – health-care managers, phthisiology specialists, infectious disease specialists, public representatives – are going to take a part in the conference. Leading Russian experts on tuberculosis, heads of Russian Federation scientific and educational institutions, representatives of the Arctic and Northern regions are invited. A collection of conference materials will be published after the conference.
