During the International Arctic Circle Assembly 2019 in Reykjavik (Iceland), the Northern Forum held a session “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Arctic: Regional Cooperation”.
Among the speakers at the session were: Nikolay Korchunov, Ambassador at Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Arctic Official, Russian Federation; Natalia Slugina, Head of the Department of International Relations, Office of the Governor, Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Region; Alexander Pilyasov, General Director, Institute of Regional Consulting, Timo Ratajoki, President and CEO, Lapland Chamber of Commerce, Finland; Mikhail Pogodaev, Deputy Minister for Arctic Cooperation and Indigenous People’s Affairs, Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The moderator of the session was Halldor Johansson, Director of the Arctic Portal.
The session put forward such problems as the development of regional cooperation in the Arctic, entrepreneurship development in the Arctic, and achievements in the framework of regional activities.
