Today, on 16 January, a press conference with the participants of the latest expedition «Paths of Great Achievements» on the Yakutsk - Bodaibo route was held in Yakutsk.
The expedition «Paths of Great Achievements» covered about 3 thousand kilometres along the Yakutsk - Bodaibo - Yakutsk route from 3 to 9 January.
The project was initiated by Georgy Nikonov, Advisor to the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Goodwill Ambassador of the Northern Forum. The project has been running for 15 years and during this time a huge amount of work has been done.
Vladimir Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, suggested creating a permanent platform at the international Northern Sustainable Development Forum «Paths of Great Achievements: Towards the 400th Anniversary of the Far East» and establishing joint work with the Northern Forum Schools Association to introduce schoolchildren to history and scientific research.
«Paths of Great Achievements» is a project aiming to systematise the history of the Far East. The project organises expeditions to unexplored places and their routes can gradually become the basis for interesting tourist routes.
