On August 23, the National Library of the Sakha Republic has started a popular voting on various creative projects of children and adolescents.
The voting is a part of the 1st International competition “Arctic White World through the Prism of Children’s Literature”. The competition is held by the Children's Reading Center of the National Library of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and aims to promote children's literature about the North and the Arctic.
The competition is participated by eight Russian regions: Murmansk; Sakhalin; Khanty-Mansi, Chukotka and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, the Komi Republic; Krasnoyarsk Krai; and the Republic Sakha (Yakutia). It also includes foreign countries such as Norway, Finland and Sweden.
The Library has compiled long-lists of the submitted creative projects in 11 nominations. You may find these projects and choose the best of them on the website of the National Library: https://nlrs.ru/projects/arcticforchilds
You can choose up to three projects at once within a single nomination. Voting ends up on September 12, 2021.
